Hi there, for new patients looking to book in I thought I would let you know some info about me and how I became a chiropractor. I like many have suffered many injuries over the years none so more damaging than a shoulder dislocation in 2010 which caused a cascade of issues over the years of which resulted in some of the worst migraines I had ever experienced.

Over a period of 5 years and around about £5000 seeing many different specialists I managed to experience my first chiropractic treatment after a recommendation from my wife as the migraines had become so debilitating it was affecting my quality of life and most importantly sleep, managing only a couple of hours a night.

The chiropractic appointment was completely new to me as the practitioner cared about me getting better and wanted to get me off painkillers and not wanting my money booking in block packages (I was up to 10 ibuprofen a day at one point just to stop a blinding stabbing pain behind my right eye). It was safe to say that after 3 sessions I was feeling so much better and my quality of life had massively improved. I then continued with maintenance treatments and it is still something I continue with to this day even as a chiropractor myself as I value my body enough to be able to use it when I retire some day.

After my experience with my chiropractor it was something I believed in passionately and wanted to help others. As a previous teacher in further education I taught the sports massage course alongside other units such as anatomy and physiology and personal training and once I left the profession I decided to start my own business and thus mindtomuscletherapy was born. With qualifications in personal training and sports massage I helped patients using a variety of techniques and over the next few years added skill sets such as cupping, instrument assisted fascia manipulation, dry needling, electrical acupuncture and spinal adjustments. I continued enhancing my knowledge and at the end of 2021 I decided to go back to university to the AECC which is a world renowned chiropractic college and complete a Masters in Chiropractic. The journey taught me many things and further enhanced my skillset and knowledge already improving on what I already knew and did within my treatment sessions and allowed me to understand more what I could do to help patients and gave more value for money when they came in to see me.

All in all I have seen the benefits of chiropractic in terms of what it did for myself and also how I can apply that same mantra to treating patients. My main goal is to get patients better and have them fully understand what is their condition and give them the necessary tools to improve their quality of life as well as being a point of contact for further knowledge and help as and when required.

A summary of my qualifications in what I provide in my sessions:

  • Dr of Chiropractic (MSc Graduate Entry)
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer
  • Cupping and hijama qualified
  • Instrument assisted fascia manipulation qualified
  • OMT dry needling and electrical acupuncture
