Runner’s MOT Woking

Understand your running. Find your next step.

If you love running but feel stuck, sore or unsure what to change, a Runner’s MOT in Woking can give you clear answers.
This one‑to‑one assessment looks at how you move, how you run and what your body needs, so your training works
with you, not against you.

Why book a Runner’s MOT?

Many runners train hard but still:

  • Hit the same pace or distance, no matter how much they do.
  • Pick up the same niggles when they increase speed or mileage.
  • Feel that something about their technique or strength is “off”, but cannot see what.

Without understanding what is really going on, it is easy to repeat the same patterns and stay stuck in the same cycle of frustration, time off and lost confidence.

A Runner’s MOT gives you a clear picture of your running right now and a simple plan for what to focus on next.

What other runners say

Runners who felt “stuck” with niggles and pace have already seen what a focused MOT can change.

David Barker – Runner’s MOT & 1:1 Coaching

Excellent Runner’s MOT and follow-up one-on-one coaching sessions with Kat at the Sportsbox track…she quickly identified areas for me to improve and gave easy-to-follow guidance and session ideas. Highly recommended.

Nat B – Runner’s MOT & 1:1 Coaching

I initially wanted help with running technique to get quicker and avoid injury… I’ve been beyond impressed by Kat as a coach.

Who is a Runner’s MOT for?

ALL PACES WELCOME! – You do not have to be “fast” or experienced, a Runner’s MOT is for any runner who wants to run more comfortably, efficiently and confidently.

RACE READY RUNNERS

You are training for a race and want to reach the start line feeling prepared, not broken or constantly managing niggles.

RECURRING NIGGLES

You keep getting familiar aches in your hips, knees, shins or feet when you increase distance or pace, and want to understand why and what to do about it.

NEW OR RETURNING RUNNERS

You are new to running, or coming back after a break or injury, and want to build good habits and confidence from the start.

TECHNIQUE CONFIDENCE

You feel your running technique might be holding you back and would like expert eyes on your form so you know what to focus on.

What happens in a Runner’s MOT?

Your session is one-to-one with Coach Kat

1.

PHONE CONSULTATION & HISTORY

Before your in-person session, you will have a short phone consultation with Kat at your chosen time. This is where you will talk through your goals, current training, past injuries and how running feels for you right now.

2.

MOVEMENT & STRENGTH SCREEN

In your in-person session, a 5-point movement and strength screen to highlight any stiffness, weakness or control issues that might be affecting your running.

3.

RUNNING TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS

Kat will conduct a multi-angled video analysis of your running technique, with footage reviewed together so you can both see how your whole body is moving – not just your feet.

4.

CLEAR PLAN

You leave with key focus points, tailored drills or strength exercises, and guidance on training tweaks so you know exactly what to work on next.

5.

HOW WE SUPPORT YOUR PROGRESS

Your Runner’s MOT is just the beginning. It is a fantastic starting point for your next phase of training, not just a one-off check up. Depending on your results and goals, Coach Kat may recommend follow-on support so you can keep progressing.

Ways we can keep helping…

If you need structure, accountability and a plan built around your life and races, Kat can design a personalised programme and support you remotely.

In person 1:1 Coaching

If you would benefit from regular, hands-on guidance and ongoing technique work locally, you can continue with face-to-face coaching sessions in Woking.

Strength & Rehab Sessions

If you need to address specific weaknesses, recurrent niggles or follow a return-to-running plan after injury, targeted strength and rehab sessions can help you rebuild safely.

If your MOT highlights an injury or area of overload that needs hands-on-treatment, you can be referred within the clinic for Chiropractic care or sports massage to help settle symptoms and support recovery.

How booking works

When you book a Runner’s MOT online, you are first choosing a time for your initial phone consultation.
During this call, Kat will confirm your goals and check track availability. Your in‑person Runner’s MOT session at Woking Sportsbox is then scheduled at a suitable time.

Runner’s MOT bookings are made via our My Complete Health online booking system. When you click “ Book now”, select the My Complete Health location, then choose  Runner’s MOT and a time for your phone consultation.

Note- Track- based sessions at Woking Sportsbox are weather-dependent, and spring race season can get busy. Booking 3-4 weeks ahead is recommended if you are working towards a specific event.

Why it matters to act now

  • Most runners experience at least one injury each year, often losing 6–8 weeks of running to niggles that could have been prevented.
  • Without understanding your biomechanics, it is easy to reinforce inefficient patterns for months or years.
  • A focused MOT now can save you from repeated race deferrals, kit buys that do not fix the problem, and the frustration of stop–start training.

What runners get from their MOT

I’d not had a parkrun PB for over 3 years and felt stuck. After a detailed Runner’s MOT with clear, simple drills to work on, I ran a new PB within a month – 45 seconds faster. One of the best investments I’ve made in my running.
